Ngiguqile ngedolo

Umfoka Smonyo puts together a 10-track Maskandi album with Ngiguqile ngedolo, released on 16 September 2026. The project carries the same name as its opening track and moves between solo cuts and a strong selection of collaborations.

The title track starts proceedings before Slomo Ntombela joins “ulale kahle”. S’phesihle makes the first of several appearances on “Shwele baba”, while “Nhliziyo yami dela” and “Ngikukhumbule sthandwa sami” are both credited solely to Umfoka Smonyo.

The middle of the album brings more guests into the mix. Vilane and Ibhinca elihle feature on “Dali ngiyakuthanda”, followed by the radio edit of “Udlala ngami”, which includes S’phesihle and Ibhinca elihle. “Bezwangawe” then gives Umfoka Smonyo another solo entry.

S’phesihle’s third appearance comes on “Vulani amasango” alongside Magwinyimbuzi. The tracklist closes in an unconventional way with “Intro”, a collaboration featuring Thato. Across the album, six songs carry listed features, with Slomo Ntombela, S’phesihle, Vilane, Ibhinca elihle, Magwinyimbuzi and Thato all appearing.

Ngiguqile ngedolo gives Maskandi followers a full-length release built around Umfoka Smonyo’s own tracks and a varied guest list. Check out the complete album and its collaborations.
